Bug Description

Binary package hint: liblog-log4perl-perl

1. Availability:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/libl/liblog-log4perl-perl/; available for all supported architectures.

2. Rationale:
Needed to pull munin 1.4.0 from debian.

3. Security:
No CVE entries.
No Secunia history.
No binaries running as root or suid/sgid or daemons.
No network activity.
It does not directly processes binary (video, audio, etc) or structured (PDF, etc) data.
No source code review.

4. Quality assurance:
The package should always work out of the box.
No debconf questions asked.
No Debian bugs.
Maintenance in Debian is vigorous.
Upstream is vigorous.
Upstream bug tracker: No public upstream bug tracker.
No special hardware is required.
There is an upstream testsuite but it is not enabled in the build.

5. UI standards:
No UI.

6. Dependencies:
All in main since 1.26-1ubuntu2

7. Standards compliance:
FHS and Debian Policy compliant.

8. Maintenance:
liblog-log4perl-perl is a relatively simple package that is maintained by debian.

approved. One note: there seems to be t/ directory with testcases. I couldnt figure how that is used or how to best use it. Could you investigate if we can run that automatically during build? Not a blocker as this seems to be a simple enough package, but still worth at least a bug to check in future.

Hm, why would we ever explicitly seed a library like this? Shouldn't
it be an rdepends of an application, and if not, why do we need it in
the first place?
