Binary package hint: alacarte

When choosing the command to associate with an item by using the 'browse' dialog, if I choose a path that includes spaces, the menu entry won't work... I have to remember to escape the spaces in the path that the dialog box dumps into the edit field.

Consider a new text field, adjacent to the 'command' field, in which the user types the command's arguments. The 'command' field's events can be set up to escape spaces whenever its contents change, and since the args will go in a separate field, there is no confusion over which spaces need escaping--every space in the 'command' field will. Existing commands read in from .desktop files will be easily parsed to fit into the new two-field scheme.

Sorry, rather busy with school and such right now, I'll be lucky to get an 0.10.0 release out at all for GNOME 2.16. Will look at this when more free time develops.
