Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

desktopcouch-service started using 100% CPU. It would not respond to a friendly kill request and had to be kill -9'd.

It was running either evolution or gwibber that triggered it. I ran ubuntu-bug with the PID, not sure what other information I can provide. grep -R couch didn't reveal any logs in /var/log

This also affects me. It seems to have started out of nowhere. I wasn't running gwibber when it started. After a reboot, it jumped right to 100%.

I can confirm this. too. I'm attaching a python backtrace although, due to bug #548723 (affecting gdb and unrelated to this one), it could be incomplete.

Seems to be fixed with 0.6.3-0ubuntu2. Anybody else confirm this?

Yub after updates, which I just installed (30.03.2010), desktopcouch-service uses 100% of cpu after starting evolution and it keeps using this amount after closing evolution. What information should I attach to get this moving?

Says dup of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530605 but as they seem to be talking about other services like samba I'm going to comment here.

Same issues with 0.6.3-0ubuntu2 installed.

Running qwibber and evolution at time.
