Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
Problem: Running applications vanish from window list inside the gnome panel. The applications are still running. I can still hear sound from my TV card, Firefox is still running. They just don't have a tab inside the window list anymore.
In the last few weeks this has happened about 10 times. The only thing I can do is kill the proccesses tru task manager and restart them.
When: happens allot when using the java IDE netbeans and I open a dialog box (like the library manager) or I start to debug an application.
Today it happened when I minimized µtorrent running inside wine.
Running Ubuntu dapper 6.06

Thanks for your bug. Does it happen only with some applications? Are they still listed by alt-tab switching? Can you describe some simple steps to get the issue?
