Bug Description

In Dapper I do:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gimp-svg

and get:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  gimp-svg: Depends: gimp (= 2.2.11-1ubuntu3) but 2.2.11-1ubuntu3.1 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Are you sure you configured properly your apt sources to universe universe for the same version than main? Could you run "apt-cache policy" and "apt-cache policy gimp" and "apt-cache policy gimp-svg" and copy that to a comment?

It looks like the security repository for universe isn't enabled as there exists a new version of gimp-svg depending on the gimp version from security.

Yeah, that was the problem. No security repository enabled for universe. I'll try to research my problem a bit more before posting another bug. Thanks for the help.

In edgy-ppc, I have the repository "edgy-security universe" enabled, and yet gimp-dvg fails to install for the same reasons as the first poster.
