Bug Description

tipical error running fragroute

# fragroute 10.151.1.3
fragroute: couldn't delete loopback route
fragroute: couldn't initialize tunnel interface: Invalid argument

there are two problem related to libdumbnet1 and libevent1

libdumbnet1 require a fix as reported in
https://launchpad.net/bugs/57551

and there is a problem with libevent1 that require fragroute to be recompiled

see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=351269

i can confirm that after upgrade of libdumbnet1 fragroute start but there is a Segmentation fault

# fragroute 10.151.1.3
fragroute: tcp_seg -> ip_frag -> ip_chaff -> order -> print
Segmentation fault

recompiling fragroute solve the problem

If all that's needed is a rebuild, then IMO it should be handled via dapper-updates. No need to introduce a new version into the mix :)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Hardy Heron. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the bug doesn't fit requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.
