System/About Ubuntu not working in dapper flight-2

Bug Description

In the default session in dapper flight-2, when choosing About Ubuntu from the System menu nothing happens except for a panel application thingie saying "Starting About Ubuntu" for about 20 seconds before disappearing. No application window appears.

Thanks for your bug report. What happens, if you run "yelp" from the terminal? Can you paste the output?

No reply and not other bug about that. We had some issue due to firefox transition which are fixed. Marking that one as fixed too. Feel free to reopen if you still have the issue

I have the same problem: after click on "About Ubuntu" at System menu, a tab "Starting About Ubuntu" is showed in the panel for 15 seconds and disappears without launching any application.

Running from the terminal the command line:

yelp ghelp:about-ubuntu

I have the output:

yelp: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkembedmoz.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

My distro is Dapper Drake and Gnome 2.14.3. Firefox 2.0 installed.

Even uninstalling Mozilla browser the problem continues...

cabelo, could you run "ldd /usr/bin/yelp" and copy that to a comment? does reainstalling firefox fix the problem?
