Bug Description

One time when I was running evolution I was deleting several messages very rapidly. It's possible that one or more of these might have had over 1,500 people in the To: line. While I was doing this, evolution crashed.

Now, whenever I open up evolution it will crash after drawing the interface except for the message display frame. This happens constantly.

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu and evolution do you use? Are you sure you have evolution-data-server-dbg installed? The interesting part of the backtrace is a non-debug one

Sorry for omitting that. I'm on edgy running the most recent packages (evolution 2.7.92-0ubuntu3 and e-d-s 1.7.92-0ubuntu2). I did not have the e-d-s-dbg package installed. Would a new backtrace with that installed be helpful?

I was able to find the email that was causing the crash. I've pulled it out of the Inbox file and have taken out the huge To: line and it still causes the crash. To import this into evolution, drag-n-drop seems to work just fine and cause the crash.

The example doesn't crash evolution on my box. Could you get a backtrace with evolution-data-server-dbg installed?

Sorry about that, it seems I was triggering another bug in trying to import the email via drag and drop. Whoopsie.

I've also managed to trim down the message and confirm that it's crashing for me because of the same problem.

the issue should be fixed using the current version, closing the bug, feel free to reopen if you still get the crash though
