Update manager in ubuntu tweak fail in Maverick Meerkat

Please give me the error message under Maverick, Thanks.

Well it's strange but for now update manager is working well now but i reinstalled ubuntu and ubuntu tweak and etc so maybe that fixed it.

But the ppa is still not working well.

E: Malformed line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-tweak-stable.list (dist parse)
E: can't lock the list library

Can you upload the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-tweak-stable.list to here?

There is still a problem with the ppa address in ubuntu 10.10 by the way i
just reinstalled and it's still not working fine.

I've uploaded a testing version of 0.5.5 for Maverick.

Try to test through:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-tweak-testing/ppa

Ok i added the new ppa and updated to the new testing version the error with
the update manager is fixed but when i open the software for the first time
it asks me to add the stable ppa address
http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ppa/ubuntu maverick and when i do and
update i get this
W:Failed to fetch
http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/ppa/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones
used instead.

But i'm assuming that it would be fix in the future so for now everything is
working fine.:)

Yes, the stable package for maverick will be uploaded soon.

so what to do in the mean time? i cant update or install anything should i reload the os or wait? will these fixes come soon or will we be waiting for ages

Update: I just added the testing source, and removed the stable source, and it now works fine. The update-manager also works again now.

you have to go to the source file it's looking at and add the correct
sources, the list points to a blank repository. I fixed it by overriding
the source list that it's looking at. Google search for how to gedit a
source file and also you can find a list of sources for updates viz google.
