Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome

I upgraded my Thinkpad laptop from Dapper to Edgy, via apt-get.

When I mouse over the Applications menu at the top of the screen (but not the System or Places menu), it flickers and I can't select items with the mouse. This problem was the first thing I saw after rebooting with the upgrade. Subsequently it went away, but is back now after another reboot.

Does deleting /etc/xdg/menu/debian-menu.menu like mentioned in the above bugreport stop that behaviour?
