Impossible to apply changes in search engines config popup

Bug Description
Problem appears on edgy + 3.5.4, but should also impact dapper and 3.5.2.
How to reproduce :
Go in the search engines configuration dialog and select a new engine to enable it in the selectbox. You don't see the "apply button" enabled to apply the changes.
Then select it but not via a click, using the space bar : it works.
Click event isn't checked properly
