Bug Description
Binary package hint: deskbar-applet
Happens to me quite frequently is that when I log into gnome I get the panel with only a few applets (random, sometimes non are showing) and it's hanging. In that situation the desktop is useless because the panel is the only way for me to start new apps, be it the menus or launchers...
It took me a lot of time to find out that it's not gnome-panel's fault but the deskbar. If I go to console and kill deskbar's pid, the panel will finish loading and I get a dialog saying deskbar crashed and I can reload it.

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Ubuntu and deskbar-applet do you use? Can you copy the exact error message? Does ~/.xsession-errors contain anything interesting? Do you have any idea how I could try to reproduce the bug?
