I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you.

Looking at the logs it appears you might have a permissions problem that prevents Ubuntu One from working normally.

Could you please post the output of the following commands here?

ls -ld /home/ho/.local/share/ubuntuone
ls -ld /home/ho/.local/share/ubuntuone/shares

It looks like chmod() operation is failing because ubuntuone is not
owned by the user that is now running the system. If that is the case
the output of the commands given above may help in diagnosing the issue.

thank you,
duanedesign

Please ignore the two commands in the previous post. The correct command would be:

ls -ld /home/ho/Ubuntu\ One

Could you please post the output of this command?

thank you,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #>, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
