Bug Description
Newer asciidocs have many new features like mathml support and a source code highlighter that would be really nice to have. It is only dependent on python so backporting should be no problem.
Note 8.0 was just released a few weeks ago but it has incompatible changes that would probably make it inappropriate for a backport. I'd recommend 7.1.2 for the backport which is the version currently in edgy.
