Bug Description

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

Just re-installed my main laptop on a new disk, so I didn't preserve my home directory. After setting up ubuntuone, desktopcouch fails to replicate.

This is the traceback in the log:

I'm not sure if this report is technically a duplicate, but Ubuntu One contacts have been known to be down for a while now.

desktopcouch doesn't fire up the process that requires the user to interact with the ubuntu-sso-login process. If you have authenticated with Ubuntu One for file synchronization on this computer, then desktopcouch will use those credentials.

So the workaround is to set up file synchronization, and you also get database synchronization thereafter.

Oh, and I'm answering the current state of desktopcouch, not as it was in August, when database synch was disabled for most everyone for unrelated reasons.
