Bug Description

After some time, the mouse and keyboard stops responding, usually one minute but it can take longer. This only happens if their are connected in a PS/2 port. If I connect a mouse throught USB it works. Everything else always works normally.

I have an ASUS motherboard and set the USB Legacy option to disable because I read that could help but still I got the problem.

No they don't.. There is no light coming from there..

I can't find a pattern of the cause for this freeze. Some times only takes a minute and other times takes hours..

Does the whole system freeze when the mouse and keyboard stops working or is it just the keyboard and mouse?
Also can you confirm that once you have a usb attached instead that everything works fine?
Cheers

No, the system keeps running normally. It's only the PS/2 keyboard and mouse that stops responding.

If I attach a USB mouse I can use it normally. The problem is really only with the PS/2 ports!!

Yes I've tried it and it works fine. I have installed more than one time Ubuntu on this computer and I always have this problem. Sometimes it also crashes using the live CD

I believe it's my mainboard that have some incompatibility with the kernel linux maybe.. In Windows everything works fine..
