Binary package hint: samba

The package was in the queue in the update manager.

It downloaded and attempted to install, but then failed, saying that the script was empty or something to that effect.

This appears to be a duplicate of bug #514963

Can you try the solution suggested by Thierry Carrez in comment #9? If it works, please post your result to that bug report.
