systemsettings crashes when opening firefox

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open system settings (dont open anything)

2. Open firefox (bon echo), I am opening it from the command line. I do not know if this makes a difference.

3. Select the printers module, kcontrol should segfault and crash.

The crash does not occur when using just kcontrol.

I can't replicate this bug. Is the printers module the one from System Settings or Firefox?

From system settings.

Maybe I was not clear, it is systemsettings that is crashing, not firefox.

The title of this bug is "kcontrol crashes when firefox is opened." I'm thinking that should be "systemsettings crashes .. "

Are you able to try this from a clean edgy beta? We need to get more info about this so the developers can figure out what's going on.

I installed edgy from the beta iso and then updated to the current versions of all software.

The bug is still present as of Oct. 7 2006.

I was unable to find a -dbg package for systemsettings and am hesitant of installing the 200mb of build depenancies.

Has anyone els been able to reproduce this bug.

I will try and see if there is the same behavior on the edgy beta live cd.

The printer dialouge crashes, but under different circomestances, I filled a new bug (as I could produce backtraces now)
