Bug Description

Binary package hint: kubuntu-artwork-usplash

Using a dell inspiron 510m with a "82852/855GM Integrated Graphics" driver i810 in Xorg.conf

The usplash is not centered.

Before the 2006/09/30 update it was smaller but centered.

Does /etc/usplash.conf report your correct video resolution?

To fix this, at the command line type:

sudo nano /etc/usplash.conf

Make sure it resembles:

# Usplash configuration file
xres=1024
yres=768

Save and close the usplash.conf file. Then type:

sudo update-initramfs -u

Reboot!
