Bug Description

From ~/.xsession-errors:
 [...]
 kdesktop: WARNING: Can't open /home/ubuntu/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml
 kdesktop: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave:
 klauncher said:
 terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
   what(): St9bad_alloc
 KCrash: Application 'kdesktop' crashing...
 DCOP aborting while waiting for answer from 'klauncher'
 DCOPServer::DCOPReply for unknown connection.
 [...]

This bug is reproduceable. On the second login (logout -> login: ubunu) there are no crashes.

However the installer won't work anyway. The buttun "Continue" does not respond on step 2 (time zone) and sometimes on step 1 (language). Is this related?
