Bug Description

localhost kernel [4294839.565000] cpufreq: change failed with new_state 1 and result 0

I just installed Ubuntu on my Dell Insprion 8100. Even when first installing the packages this error popped up and and it persistent. The computer as frozen up several times which has never happened on any linux distro I've ever used! I think this error might be at the source of the problem. If not I'd be happy to provide any and all extra info needed.
