kdesu does not work in edgy

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

Enter the command:
boguslaw@ubuntu:~/Desktop$ kdesu adept_manager

Then enter the correct password in the kdesu and press enter. An error occurs:

kdesu (kdelibs): ERROR: su has exited while waiting for pwd.

KDE 3.5.5, kubuntu edgy with all updates.

sudo aptitude reinstall kdebase-data kdesu
Then running kdesu adept from the konsole

fix the problem? This was a problem with the earlier packages, but should be updated now.

Unfortunately still not working:

sudo aptitude reinstall kdebase-data kdebase-bin --> logoff and login -->

boguslaw@ubuntu:~$ kdesu adept

Works OK with official 3.5.5 kubuntu packages.
