Bug Description

Binary package hint: kicker

In the KMenu you can configure to see the "most frequently used" apps on the top of the KMenu; if you configure to see 5 apps you see only 4 of them... if you configure for 6 you see 5 and so on.

To reproduce:
- Right click on KDE Taskbar (also known as kicker)
- Configure Panel...
- On the left side click on "Menus"
- In the lower side click on "Show the applications most frequently used" and set a number
- Click "Apply"
- Verify in the KMenu how many of them you can see.

I see this bug in a stock KDE bundled with Kubuntu 6.06.1.
Please ask for more info if you need them.

Bye
Piero

Well, I discovered that the bug is present only if you set a number equals than or bigger than 5.
If you try with 0,1,2,3,4 it works well.

I couldn't find an entry for this bug on bugs.kde.org and can't replicate it on Edgy Beta. Can anybody else replicate it?

I can't replicate this bug on Edgy. The number of most frequently used apps is ok here.
I didn't try that on Dapper yet.

I think if this bug is not present in edgy we should either flag it as fixed released or reject it

I'm going to mark it rejected. Though this may be a valid bug if someone else can confirm it on Dapper, it is not significant enough to warrant an update to our Long-Term Support release. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates

Since this is fixed in Edgy, there is likely a KDE update that fixed it. If you really really want this fixed, try the latest KDE release from http://kubuntu.org/announcements/kde-355.php Beware that this may be bring other bugs with it, so I don't especially recommend it. If there's a certain number of entries you want, it can be finagled by changing the settings accordingly.

Thanks for the bug report.
