Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-mplayer
Gnome-mplayer always adds the -noembeddedfonts option to mplayer, regardless of whether or not the check mark in options to use embedded fonts is on or off. As a result, gnome-mplayer can not properly play files with subtitles that rely on embedded fonts, even though mplayer and smplayer can.
I tried to work around by appending -embeddedfonts to the gnome options, but that didn't work. It seems the -noembeddedfonts hard coded from gnome-mplayer takes precedence.
