Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

My colleague shared a folder so I could write to it on Ubuntu One. I started copying a lot of files to this shared folder and then the folder got unshared. After this I was unabled to re-sync and I had to kill my ubuntuone processes and restart.

How to reproduce:

1. User A shares a folder to user B.
2. User B starts copying a lot of files to the shared folder.
3. Files start to get synchronised
4. User A un-shares the folder.
5. User B's ubuntu one clients hang.

Also, when I touched (created) files in the shared folder I got conflict files. Is this a feature?

More bits:

(01:42:38 PM) nessita: cking: when you say "stopped working", what you mean exactly?
(01:44:55 PM) cking: nessita, here is an example:
(01:44:58 PM) cking: u1sdtool --waiting-content says: Oops, an error ocurred:
(01:44:59 PM) cking: Traceback (most recent call last):
(01:44:59 PM) cking: Failure: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
(01:45:26 PM) nessita: cking: and ps aux | grep ubuntuone won't show it?
(01:46:06 PM) nessita: cking: that indicates that the process is not answering dbus requests, but may be alive (a bit crazy, probably drawing on a blocking loop/task)
(01:46:24 PM) cking: nessita, well after a lot of poking around with u1sdtool, I just kill -9 all the ubuntuone tasks
(01:46:55 PM) cking: but things blocked once apw stopped the sharing while I was copying files to the share
(01:47:48 PM) nessita: cking: ok, I'll add this piece of chat to the bug report. Thanks!
