I highlighted a part of the filename and pressed delete (I tried it again with backspace - same thing) and the Baker crashed...

It happens for me too, but only with the delete key (not with backspace), and only if there are other files in the burning list. When I edit the name of the file when it's the only one on the list, the delete key erases the whole file, not just a letter in it's name. It's the same every time, and it crashes with the following output:

(gnomebaker:14976): Gtk-CRITICAL **: _gtk_rbtree_reorder: assertion `tree->root->count == length' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Same for me, new data DVD. Some files dragged over from a folder. Then choose "Edit Name" for the first entry on the list. Marked the first half a part of the the name to remove a common prefix and it crashed.

Thanks for the bug report.

I can reproduce the crash in Edgy but I'm closing this bug because it has been fixed in Feisty. (once you have a working gnomebaker in Feisty that is).

If you need a fix for this bug in Edgy, please follow the
instructions in the "How to request new packages" section of the
Backports wiki page:
