Bug Description
Binary package hint: couchdb
* Install couchdb 1.0.1-0ubuntu3
* Try to start couchdb from command line both as user and via sudo
-> couchdb crashes
Create directories:
/var/run/couchdb/
/var/log/couchdb/
-> couchdb starts normally

On my system the said two directories were completely missing ?!?
