gaim crashes whithout clear reason/action (msn_session_set_error)

Similar issue here. When I close a chat window, occasionally the window goes blank white with the exception of the title bar. Pressing X to get rid of the window crashes gaim. This seems to happen more frequently when I switch from a custom away message to "available" status.

Potentially similar crash, on Ubuntu Edgy while not doing anything in particular in GAIM.

Crash is also in msn_session_set_error.

No need of new crash files if the bug is confirmed with a debug backtrace and not comment asking for a new one

Thank you everybody for your bug interest. The new crashes have nothing to do with the bugs you are commenting on though, could you open a new bug if you don't know what you are doing? Commenting on random bug creates confusion and extra work. Could also not attach a new crash when a comment states that's not required?

Edgy and gaim are not supported anymore. Please open a new bug if you get a crash with pidgin in a later version of Ubuntu.
