Bug Description
In the alip desktop, I can't start applications asking for root rights from the menu (eg. synaptic). The password dialog always fails.
As the kind folks at IRC found out, the reason is the desktop variable /apps/gksu/
As user "linaro" on the command line, this fixes it:
gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/gksu/
The variable should be true in the distro setup.
