A fix recently went into -intel (2:2.14.0-1ubuntu6) to fix some recent graphics corruption issues.
Can you confirm whether or not with that version installed and booted, your corruption is still present or not?

Thanks for confirming the bug still exists in the current code versions. Please run apport-collect 710961 to collect updated log files for the newer versions.

I can't do that, because launchpad rejects the new data. Instead I've filed LP: #717114
