Bug Description
Binary package hint: update-manager
When update manager hits an issue (such as shown in the screenshot) I can edit the text in the details box. Should this be possible? Surely you don't want someone to accidentally delete this text?

Thanks for reporting this issue and making Ubuntu better!
Using same version of update-manager on Natty, I'm also able to type in and edit the error message.
I'm not sure what's the best way to reproduce this issue.
I assume the purpose is to allow users to copy the error message, to either search for it or post it when looking for a solution. Though it should probably be read-only if that is possible.
