Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus-cd-burner

When trying to burn a data dvd, sometimes the proggress bar stays at the beginning and nothing else happens. The dvd unit spins but does not do the usual burning sounds, and becomes totally unresponsive until I restart the computer. The burning progress window becomes unresponsive as well, as there is no way to close it or cancel the operation.

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you activate the gconf key /apps/nautilus-cd-burner/debug with gconf-editor and run nautilus-cd-burner from a command line and note what is written to the debug log then?

hm... running "nautilus-cd-burner" returns an error that "it was impossible to create CD/DVD, because no file was selected".

I haven't burned many CDs lately, but I don't think I've had any problem, no.

I'll let you know if it happens again.
