Bug Description

When KopeTex module is activated, you can send formulae using $$formulae(x)$$. But the result is a freeze of kopete. You have to kill kopete.

You can solve it by changing the first line of /usr/bin/kopete_latexconvert.sh from#!/bin/sh to #!/bin/bash

It seems that the author assumes sh links to bash, and I think it is not the case for Ubuntu distributions.

Linked upstream bug. Looks like they are hesitant to change to /bin/bash as it will break on BSD, so instead the script should be fixed to run on dash. But this fix works for ubuntu.

I have made the change to /usr/bin/kopete_latexconvert.sh, but this does not solve the problem for me.

How do I debug this further?

This bug says "Fix released". How do I get the fix?

If you have the updates repository enabled, you should have kdenetwork 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1.1 or newer, which has this fixed.
