Ubuntu changelog:
  * Include the initramfs hook and script contributed by Tormod Volden, so dmraid can integrate effortlessly (closes: launchpad.net/22107)

Handled in the debian release 0.9.9+1.0.0.rc9-3.1
Debian changelog:
  * Include the initramfs hook and script contributed by Tormod Volden, so dmraid can integrate effortlessly (closes: launchpad.net/22107) (Closes: #367661)

-----------------

Ubuntu changelog:
  * Call update-initramfs in our postinst, if we have it on the system.

This is also handled in the debian package since the postinst files are the same.

These are the only two changes in the currenlty released ubuntu version. They have both been handled in the new debian version.

The -Q flag simply suppresses errors in the modprobe line during
initialization. The decision should be trivial on whether to keep it or not.
There's benefit in it either way. But if dropping it means dmraid can be
synced I'd say drop it.

Hi, any update on this? Is there anything else needed to okay this sync? People are running into the same show stopper bug for dmraid that's plaguing edgy in feisty because this package is being left to wallow. See last few comments here:

It seems that to even test this, we need to first sync the new version which seems to have the ubuntu changes already.

Please sync this from debian then, so we could continue and improve on that for ubuntu.

Since we don't want to drop -Q flags to modprobe calls, please get this package merged instead.
