Bug Description

While trying to rebuild Claws (see bug 724416) I ran into a failure to build the pgpcore plugin. This was ultimately traced to an incorrect dependency_libs entry in the /usr/lib/libgpgme.la file. It currently points to /lib/libgpg-error.la but that file actually exists in /usr/lib/libgpg-error.la. A no change local rebuild confirms that the correct path will be picked up.

I just need a sponsor to upload a new no-change version of gpgme1.0 .

ScottK and bdrung suggest in irc that the package should be fixed to not include the .la file at all. This is current policy, and I agree that we should do that. However, as this bug is blocking the fix for Claws, I'd personally prefer to do this upload first now to unblock that. I offer to file a separate bug on the .la files, work on a fix, and submittodebian.
