Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

While attempting to get my system setup for testing the NVIDIA proprietary drivers, the installer crashed and displayed a window instructing me to file this bug. Here is the window contents...

"We're sorry; the installer crashed. Please file a new bug report at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug (do not attach your details to any existing bug) and a developer will attend to the problem as soon as possible. To help the developers understand what went wrong, include the following detail in your bug report, and attach the files /var/log/syslog and var/log/partman:"

Then it just has a Close button. I then entered a live session. This was from the 3/21 daily live image. Attached are the requested files.

oem-config/enable doesn't make sense in this context. I think some maintainer script has caused the debconf protocol to get out of sync; that might also make sense of the obscure man-db failure.

Debconf debug output would really help here. Could you run the installer with 'ubiquity -d' from a terminal, and post /var/log/syslog and /var/log/installer/debug?

This is the same as bug 739632, so if you could attach logs there, that would be great. Thanks.
