On Ubuntu Edgy with Firefox set as the default browser, if I do not already
have Firefox open and I click on any of the links listed under Help -> Web
Resources, they fail to open. On the command line this message is printed:

Error: No running window found

This would be a bug in gnome-open most likely. All I do is call
Banshee.Web.Browser.Open which in turn calls Gnome.Url.Show (by default), which
in turn should call gnome-open - either way, it should work and isn't an issue
in Banshee. Open the bug with Ubuntu.

Were you able to reproduce this somehow by just using gnome-open in the command line?

I tried gnome-open http://banshee-project.org/ from the command line and it works fine, actually.

The corresponding BGO is #380775.

Grr, been away from the bug too long, forgot the setup. gnome-open works fine if Firefox is already open (of course), but it does indeed fail (with error message "Error: No running window found") when Firefox isn't already open.
