notication area only appears in one monitor

I think this may be tricky because of the nasty hackiness of the old
systray; if it's anything other than trivial, it's wontfix.

Note that in unity-2d at the moment there is only one single instance of the panel on the primary monitor. This is tracked by bug #681101.

I don't think we should mark it wontfix, but just leave it open for someone who cares enough let fix it. It's certainly a very low priority bug, but that's why I marked it low.

Could someone post a screenshot and/or steps to reproduce?

To my surprise, it looks like this is fixed for Oneiric.

I unfortunately can't provide a screenshot and to reproduce you will need at least two monitors as well as a Natty system, but on Natty it used to behave as described above: The Unity panel's emulation of the old GNOME2 notification area wasn't shown on all monitors (even if there were multiple panels), but only on one.
Which monitor that one was, iirc changed from "the most left one" to "the primary one". But I'm absolutely not sure about the last point, might also be that still the most left one was used.

The legacy notifications have changed since natty, which may be why the issue no longer exists in oneiric or precise. Thanks for confirming the issue is gone in newer releases. Since the priority is Low, it's doubtful this is worth an SRU for natty, so I think we can just close the bug out at this time.
