The panic seems to happen each time I do the install, looks like the same bug being triggered again.

I was able to boot the machine in LiveCD mode in Natty, and managed to collect some log files, but soon after that it crashed with this screen. Before this oops I saw apport-check segfault.

I was able to install i386 build of natty, although slow to boot it works and does not oops like the amd64 version. This x120e has UEFI & Legacy, in amd64 mode it installs in UEFI mode, it blank screens if I boot the USB stick in only legacy mode for amd64. For i386 install image there is no UEFI support in the bios so its booting and installing in legacy only mode. In i386 mode I do have some issues with Unity not responding to clicks but it stay up and running. I am attaching dmesg for i386 install.

I can confirm, this happens during installation, from either straight boot to install or from the livecd try ubuntu.

The trace back appears to be different every time. This bug happens whether or not a wireless network is associated. However the amd64 install can be completed successfully if the rtl8192ce driver is removed.

Manoj Iyer, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please make a comment to this?
