Bug Description

UPDATE:

This is not Xorg bug. If you experience this issue please complete the upgrade (sudo apt-get install -f). Broken branding-ubuntu package was causing apt to stop prematurely leaving the system in an inconsistent state.

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:

After reent upgrade the system boots into gdm but no keyboard or mouse interaction is possible. Plugging external keyboard and mouse works though.
This may be related with udev upgrade but I am not yet sure what to blame. Internal keyboard works in vt (for vt switching, consoles seem to be broken too)

I had this issue as well, after booting an old kernel and running apt-get update/upgrade everything worked again.

Yes, it is not Xorg's fault, branding-ubuntu conflicted with another package causing apt to shut down prematurely leaving the system in an inconsistent state.
