Bug Description

I am using UBUNTU 6.06 and I can't play a movie on my DVD driver.It gives an error message "no URI Handler implemented for DVD.Please help.THanks

Could you try opening the program 'Movie Player' and seeing if it can open the movie?

Yes,I did open the program 'Movie Player' but it showed me a message "Totem can not play this type of media (DVD) because you do not have the appropriate plugins to handle it.Please install the necessary plugins and restart totem to be able to play this media".I don't know what plugins to install and how?PLease help me......Thanks

better to install totem-xine to play DVD, totem-gstreamer doesn't play them at the moment

to be exact totem-gstreamer should be able to play the video, there is no menu or subtitle selectable though
