Bug Description

Hello, im using Kubuntu Edgy with kde 3.5.5
Also i have propertiary fglrx driver installed for my ATI videocard
When trying to set "Turn off monitor" option from default 5 hours to
my own value, xorg.xonf gets overwritten and X doesn't start next boot,
with following error:

Thanks for you bug report. I too am running Edgy and noticed that section of control center making strange changes to my xorg.conf file. However, I didn't see it remove the fglrx video driver.

Yes, fglrx video driver still there, but control center replaces my
ModeLine settings with its own and evidently incorrect values.

I have the same problem. I'm not able to save the power saving setting. I'd like to use like 15 minutes instead of the default 5 hours, but every time I reboot the setting is lost. And furthermore, I've tryed setting it in administrator mode, logging in with my sudo password and then set it, in those cases xorg.conf is somehow fucked up and my resolution goes to 640x480 and I have to restore a backup of xorg.conf to get it right. It's _REALLY_ annoying bug.

Edgy is past it's end of life, so we are no longer dealing with Edgy problems. Additionally, Guidance displayconfig is being replaced by different KDE4 application in Intrepid, so no further displayconfig changes are currently being considered.
