Bug Description
Binary package hint: wicd
System: Maverick - 386,
Wireless interface
wicd version: Candidate: 1.7.0+ds1-5
This bug is sporadic. It has happened three times in the week since I installed wicd last week.
To Reproduce (sometimes)
1) Join wireless network 1
2) Suspend machine
3) Resume machine outside of range of previous network
4) Attempt to connect to new network 2
5) About 20% of the time, observe that wicd is displaying the message "Connecting to Wireless Network 1" and fails.
When this occurs it doesn't matter what network you choose, it will constantly try to connect to the previous network. Closing the program does not help. A reboot finally solved it twice, and waiting approximately 15 minutes (and who knows how many attempts) did another time.
Expected behavior: If I choose "connect to wireless network 2" that's the network it should try to connect to.
