Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebluetooth

The following problem was found during a edgy->feisty upgrade test:

Preparing to replace qobex 0.99+1.0beta1-12ubuntu9 (using .../qobex_0.99+1.0beta2-1ubuntu2_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement qobex ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/qobex_0.99+1.0beta2-1ubuntu2_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libqobex.so', which is also in package qobex-dev

So it looks like the Feisty upgrade is trying to upgrade installed packages and failing. The reporter has filed three reports with the same error message on different packages. I will use the report and we can make a list of affected packages, plus get some confirmation before it is confirmed.

Tuxtype should be fixed with the (1.5.6.dfsg1-3ubuntu2) upload.

sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/qobex_0.99+1.0beta2-1ubuntu2_i386.deb

This wasn't the only package to have similar issues recently.

I experienced this same problem with X packages on upgrade from dapper to edgy using CL apt-get.

"dpkg -i --force-overwrite" worked for me, thanks sooo much!
