Bug Description

Imagine that you are working on a laptop, and it's configured in such way that 5 minutes before the battery is dry it should hibernate. You start working on a document, and suddenly you see a message that the battery is dry and the computer shuts down.

It would be nice if the kde daemon would tell you "in 5 minutes your computer is going to hibernate".

I'll see if I find some time to implement this, I agree that it would be useful. It should not be a big thing anyway.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Guidance Power Manager has been removed from Kubuntu 10.04 an onwards. The good news is that PowerDevil, the KDE power management system, does announce when it's suspending/hibernating.
