Feisty daily 20070115 ubiquity crashes. Traceback below, syslog and crash files (ubiquity and voodoo) attached.

same here (desktop i386 daily live cd 20070115)

looks like the debconf python package is missing

Similar crashes today, plus an app-install crash. Attaching syslog and three crash files.

Still happening - but just noticed something very weird!

/var/crash is PRE-POPULATED on the CD image!

That's right, when I boot from the LiveCD, there is already an app-install crash file in /var/crash, and its timestamp predates the CD image's.

So this appears to be the route cause of our problems.

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 80253, which I noticed earlier and fixed. The other crashes are unconnected; please file separate bug reports for each of them.
