Bug Description

When one goes up in Konqueror to the root level "/" sees "home" and "media" folders.
As for Media word - it's interational, Home - rather not.

It would be a good idea to add ".directory" file to those dirs which would include translations (and icons) for those dirs.

So after that, the user would see "Home directories", "Media devices" in their own language (and with icon).
:)

Is this still an issue with Konqueror in KDE 3.5.9? Thanks!

Yes, I've checked it on 8.04 up-to-date. Both Dolphin and Konqi shows home and media directory. It's becasue
.directory files in /home and /media have only one line "Icon=" They should have also "Name=" etc...

Won't fix, they are directory names, that's it.

There is a discussion in the freedesktop project going on about hiding all the diretory names and replace them with their use-case descriptions (FHS defines them quite well actually). Still, this should be changed on a freedesktop level for all free desktops instead of just KDE on Kubuntu.
