Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I can't get compiz to run on my Radeon 8500 using the free ati driver. Compiz claims that "GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing" but glxinfo says otherwise. Running uptodate feisty.

Do you see GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap three times in glxinfo?

It should be in "server glx extensions", "client glx extensions" and in "GLX extensions" to work.

actually no, it doesn't... only for the server part, which is kinda strange since ati should support it. I'll have to look elsewhere
