I checked and there is missing depends. Could you tell us if reinstalling (uninstall-reinstall) python-wxgtk2.6 fixes the issue ?
Thanks

Hello,

this bug now appears in intrepid. I now its still alpha but it may be fixed before comming out as a release.
If I start it in a terminal this messeges apear:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/wammu", line 31, in <module>
    import Wammu.Locales
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/Wammu/Locales.py", line 31, in <module>
    import wx
ImportError: No module named wx

And it crashes and wants to send a bug report ;-)
