Bug Description
If you apt-get source valgrind, then try to do a dpkg-buildpackage, it fails to configure due to a Linux kernel version check. In valgrind trunk, the version check was relaxed since linux kernel 3.0 is supposed to be ABI-compatible with kernel 2.6.
We could just patch in the relaxed version check, but updating the package to 3.7-pre would be even better since it squashes a great many bugs.

I don't think it's reasonable to pull a new development upstream version that close to Ubuntu oneiric release; this can be pushed in oneiric+1 just after release.
The FTBFS fix is important though
